"Never Forget Executive Order 9066" Kimono

A project for an alumni showcase I participated in, this kimono is an homage to my heritage and my relatives who unfortunately had to endure the grueling circumstances of the Japanese incarceration camps. The kimono itself is constructed from cotton sateen, and the lettering and obi are made of various materials, from leftover kimono and obi scraps.
