Taylor Tachibana is a multi-hyphenate artist, her skills spanning across fashion design, screenwriting, and visual arts. With a goal of emphasizing her unique perspectives through all art forms, she focuses on her identity as a half Japanese queer artist, experimenting with different facets of her experiences and interests. As a fashion designer, Taylor focuses on marrying her Japanese and American identities together in order to tell the stories of her family and culture's history, as well as defy the expectations that one should have to live two separate lives. Nigen-Sei, or duality in Japanese, represents Taylor's ethos, where she believes every aspect of one's self can live fully in harmony, instead of separate sides of a coin.
